British armour expert Andrew Hills has had a lifelong interest in tanks, armoured vehicles, and military technology.

He served in both the British Territorial Army for several years and over a decade in the Police. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Coventry University, England and currently lives with his family in the United States where he is working on further books on tanks and military matters, including The Tanks of TOG, British Zimmerit, and An Unnecessary Burden: Sherman Tank vs Tellermin.

He is also a contributor on The Tank Encyclopedia, were his latest piece covering the combats during the Argentine Landing, dedicated a full section to talk about "Casualties and Misrepresentation", commenting on The First Casualty and citing this blog to dismiss the "series of salacious and unsourced claims around the hidden ‘truth’ over Argentinian casualties.", in his own words. The article is quite thorough, and it includes pictures of most of the LVTP-7s in Stanley.

I must admit that I was surprised to find about this, when I detected traffic incoming from The Tank Encyclopedia into this blog. I'm also very glad to see that this research is considered a reliable source by a very experienced author I didn't know before, it encourages me in many ways to keep the rigourousity in this project.
